As Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, Ronna Gyllenhaal leads the strategic direction of The Family Office at Synovus’ marketing and communications initiatives. She is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing the firm’s comprehensive brand and thought leadership framework to foster client engagement, support new business opportunities, and drive industry awareness. Ronna’s deep knowledge of the family office and wealth management industry and understanding of family dynamics bring a distinctive view into the world of family and wealth.

A highly skilled marketing and communications specialist with over 25 years of experience, Ronna has spent her career advancing corporate growth and innovation through brand recognition, storytelling, and outreach. Prior to joining The Family Office, she was the head of marketing for BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s Global Family Office, Investor Solutions, and Philanthropic Solutions. She also served as a consultant and confidante to some of the most elite family offices, fulfilling high priority initiatives. In addition, she spent 20 years at Pitcairn learning the family office business from the ground up, ultimately serving as Managing Director of Marketing and Communications. In her leadership role, she was, and continues to be, an advocate for family wealth education.

Ronna remains at the forefront of industry trends, serving as a judge for the Family Wealth Report Awards and member of Family Office Exchange, Family Wealth Alliance, and The UHNW Institute. She serves as an ambassador for The Family Office in the family office industry and broader family wealth advisor community. She is a fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and holds the FFI Advanced Certificate in Family Wealth Advising. She has an M.B.A. in Marketing from Villanova University and a B.A. in French Language and Literature with a minor in Spanish from Brandies University.

Ronna splits her time between Columbus and Atlanta, Georgia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Outside of the office, you can usually find her driving up and down the east coast to cheer on her son and daughter at their lacrosse games or fiendishly baking for the post-game tailgate.
