Jeff Hobbs

As Director of Fiduciary Services for The Family Office at Synovus, Jeff oversees the administration of fiduciary accounts, helping ensure compliance with governing instruments, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Focusing on trust administration, fiduciary oversight, risk management, and client asset protection, Jeff is committed to maintaining the highest standards of fiduciary integrity. He works closely with advisors and colleagues across the organization to support clients’ trust and estate objectives while helping mitigate risk and ensure the consistent administration of fiduciary accounts.

Jeff brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including over two decades with Synovus. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as Fiduciary Officer for Synovus Trust Company. He also held roles as Manager of Testing and Controls, Senior Compliance Manager for Synovus Wealth Services Compliance, and Fee Administrator and Trust Officer for Synovus Trust Company. Before joining Synovus, Jeff served as Operations Manager and Trust Officer at First National Bank and Trust (now Simmons Bank) in Columbia, Missouri.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Columbus State University. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Trust Graduate School and the Cannon Securities Operations Program.

Outside of work, Jeff is an active member of the Columbus, Georgia community. He is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and has held various leadership roles within his local church. His community involvement includes serving as Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Chattahoochee Valley and The Family Center. In his free time, Jeff enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with family.
